A supported factual finding should not be disturbed without legal flaw

The Commissioner found the deceased was employed as a driver. That finding was based on material placed on record. The Supreme Court expressly found no perversity in it. Nor did it identify a legal infirmity in the finding. The High Court nevertheless displaced the award. The Supreme Court held that interference unwarranted. Appellate review must engage with the evidence actually recorded. A supported finding should not be set aside on an erroneous premise. Panganti Vijaya v.
