Protection of incumbent appointees and division bench reaffirmation
When termination orders were subsequently issued against candidates ousted under the first revised results, affected incumbent teachers approached the High Court, leading to the landmark Division Bench judgment in Manju Chaudhary v. State of Rajasthan. The Division Bench reaffirmed the core necessity of revising results through expert evaluation while protecting already appointed teachers from immediate ouster, directing that they be placed at the bottom of the revised select list where possible. A special leave petition challenging this protective arrangement was dismissed by the Supreme Court on grounds of delay, thereby settling the initial phase of protection for incumbent teachers.
