Judicial orders alone do not automatically prove corrupt motive

The disciplinary case relied on four bail orders passed by the officer. The orders were contrasted with fourteen other bail orders. The principal criticism was that Section 59-A was not mentioned in four orders. The Court asked whether those orders, without more, justified removal. A judicial decision may be erroneous without being corrupt. The material must establish misconduct rather than merely a different view of law. The Court found the orders alone insufficient to justify removal. The removal decision was therefore set aside. Nirbhay Singh Suliya v. State of Madhya Pradesh & Anr. | 2026 INSC 7
