Relief for a later admission session requires necessary parties
The 2025 appellants challenged the continued broader criteria. They sought to restrict consideration to Classes XI and XII. Admissions for the 2025 session had already been made. Candidates who could be adversely affected were not parties. The Court declined to grant final relief in their absence. A properly constituted proceeding must implead necessary parties. The appellants were granted liberty to approach the High Court again. This ensured affected candidates could be heard before relief is considered. Divjot Sekhon v.
