Limited authority of document verification committees
clarifies that ad-hoc verification bodies constituted under judicial instructions operate under strictly circumscribed administrative terms of reference. Where such committees are formed solely to review and release seized educational materials, their mandate prevents them from correcting or altering existing University records or resolving disputed internal classifications. However, this functional limitation does not foreclose judicial authorities from evaluating the overall veracity of the claims and issuing mandatory directions to cure the underlying clerical errors.
