Dismissal of state appeals and structuring of time-bound appointment directions

Finding no legal infirmity in the impugned Division Bench orders enforcing the Mukesh Kumar Tailor framework, the Supreme Court dismissed the State's civil appeals. To bring a definitive quietus to litigation pending since 2020, the Court issued strict, time-bound directions requiring authorities to prepare a fresh list of eligible respondents and intervenors within two months and complete document verification and appointments within two subsequent months.
